On its debuting international screening, short fiction film, “Hostess”, directed by Omid Abdollahi has been selected to participate at the official contest section of the International Fesitavl Tous Ecrans in Switzerland. The twentieth edition of the festival will be held from 6 to 13th November in three sections; long and short fiction films, television series and multi-media creations in Geneva. As Iran’s representative, Hostess will participate along with thirteen other short movies from France, Switzerland, Canada, India, Denmark and Mexico at the international best movie contest.
Festival Tous Ecrans is one of the main cinematic events of Switzerland. In addition to discovering emerging talents, the festival is also a showcase of best short movies from filmmakers around the world. The official website of the event has published a short summery of “Hostess” and has called its participation at this year’s festival and exceptional event, calling Omid Abdollahi a young and talented filmmaker whom the Iranian cinema can certainly count on for a bright future.
As reported by the Festival’s website, in its debut international screening, Iranian short film will be on festival’s screen twice at 8th and 10th of November. The filmmaker will be present at the screening at Grand Salon of Geneva
