The script of the short fiction film “A Sweet Day” written jointly by Omid Abdollahi and Solmaz Haddadian was selected for the pitching competition of the 40th Interfilm International Short Film Festival in Germany. More than 160 projects from all over the world applied to participate in the Script Pitch competition, and finally 8 projects succeeded in appearing in the final stage.
Interfilm International Short Film Festival, as one of the oldest ones in Germany, which is approved by the Oscar Academy, was held in Berlin from November 5 to 10. During which the filmmakers of the eight finalists projects, first developed their screenplays in the Script Lab section of the festival with the help of International consultants and then presented their screenplays in front of the jury and the audience to win the pitching award given by CineSud.
The short film “A Sweet Day” is about a young woman who, after being away from her imprisoned husband for a long time, finds the opportunity to have a romantic experience with him. Omid Abdollahi plans to direct this film.
